I’M STILL AROUND!

November 2, 2009 at 10:19 pm (Diary of Weight Loss)

Hey,

I am still here. Weight is sitting between 17st – 17.5st!

Life has been hectic, working around 12-16 hours a day and way to exhausted to even step foot in the gym, plus the stress of work, life and feeling down lately. I am still fighting to get fit though, I have pretty much maintained myself rather than continue the weight loss. Although that isn’t great its better than slipping back into the 18 stone+ category.

Will be updating this soon.

Day 6:  Lifting heavyweights for chest, back and shoulders

Food: Kidney beans and rice

Getting really annoyed with poor diet, its clearly not enough for me but with so much going on its getting difficult to sort my foods out :(

Day 8: Shoulders and Leg

I will be using one of them grill machines so I can just grill some chicken when there is nothing to eat, as my diet is seriously affecting my body changes and gym workout in a bad way so I must sort it no matter what!

Month 4.

August 1, 2009 at 4:33 pm (Diary of Weight Loss) (, , , , , , )

So now I have been training well into my 4th month now.

Recently I have gone from cardio to weight training more often. My target is still 15 stone!

I really want to lose this weight and maintain/increase my muscle, so to do this I will do weights 3 times a week and cardio 1 or 2 times. My calorie intake should be around 2500-3000 and less on cardio/no training days.

As I have not been dieting to well over the last few weeks I will be keeping a DAILY log of what I am doing over the next 30 days, as I have lost a decent amount of fat and gaining muscle, so this is where the fun begins – yet I keep missing sessions and eating poorly.

Anyway, here are some progress pictures that I liked but do not be fooled I have a lot of work to do!

Still here!

July 10, 2009 at 11:55 pm (Diary of Weight Loss) (, , , , )

Wow what day am I on now? 118 I think!

My weight is still around 17 stone and my body is seriously battling with me on losing weight now.

Every time I drop below 17 stone I seem to eat at an immense rate bringing me back to 17 stone, it’s getting really annoying though as my face is just beginning to look normal and people are actually recognising the weight loss.

I’ve taken a shift from cardio to weights, currently doing weights 3 times a week and cardio 1-2 times a week. This way I have found myself more able to do weights and improved cardio by doing it less.

I tried a day of pushing for power using weights so I can gain some extra strength and have been running between 5.5 – 6 mph and achieving 3.5-4 miles.

The only bad thing as I mentioned has been the diet struggle, I just can’t seem to drop below 17 stone. So instead I am going to start eating lots of vegetables, which really helps in weight loss and focus more so that I keep exercising and eat less.

What has happened to me previously is that I would just continue eating rubbish and feel so down I would not go gym and it would get so bad that when I finally returned after 6 weeks it would start all over again thus eventually giving up completely – I DO NOT WANT TO RETURN TO THAT!

So I’ve been pushing through and still going to the gym despite feeling like crap, this has stopped me gaining lots of weight so I am still hovering around 17 stone, not great because its been like that for over 4 weeks but not bad as I could be 19+ stone by now! I want to be able to actually fit in my trousers and normal shirts have just started to fit!!

The way my body is/looks is through eating rubbish for so many years since childhood. As you are growing through childhood it is important to give your body the right nutrients to grow properly, which cannot be found at the bottom of a bag of chips! If you notice obese teenagers have similar fat shapes; excessive stomachs and man boobs that look like female ones!

Now compare this with a healthier younger person that begins to overeat when into their late teens/early 20s, the damage is much different.

This doesn’t mean my (or anybody else’s) body cannot change it just means it will take longer.

So here I go; more focus on weights as it helps more with my body shape and a vegetable diet – see how this goes!

Michael Jackson – Legend

June 27, 2009 at 12:40 am (Diary of Weight Loss) ()

Hey guys and girls, I’m still about and just wanted to post about MJ.

I thought he would be ok when I saw ‘MJ in hospital’ on the news but then the reports then said he had died.

The hospital where he died had loads of people gathering within minutes of knowing!

I didn’t find him weird, it was understandable after what he had gone through as a child he still wanted to remain one.

In terms of the child abuse cases, in the first instance it was an out of court settlement because MJ didn’t want the publicity then a flock of them came like flies to faeces. If a parent truly wanted justice for their child they would have wanted him locked up and punished not hand out a cheque.

The sad thing about MJ was the way the world abused him, every time I saw him in the news I could only see a misguided adult clinging onto childhood that was just too trusting in a world without care.

However his music and dancing changed the entire entertainment industry and brought together everybody, even to this day his album sales have not been beaten, people imitate but cannot better his dance moves and people still pay respect to him, goes to show just how high his level of talent truly was and how appreciative entertainers are today.

RIP MJ.

Day 75

May 29, 2009 at 10:51 pm (Diary of Weight Loss)

Hello everyone!

Just thought I’d make a post on my progress so far. Finally got some measuring tape!

Weight: 17 stone still I think

Waist: I was about 44-46″ and currently at 39″

Chest: Around 44″ down from 48-50″

I will get a picture soon, the development is going well. My running is gradually getting better and I am doing longer intervals.

I’ve had the occasional junk food, it wasn’t good! When you feel the hunger during exercise and weight training have healthy good foods as your body requires the energy, junk food just jeopardises your efforts.

I know a few people are watching who are in a similar position to myself, keep it up and don’t give up!

Day 63

May 17, 2009 at 9:57 pm (Diary of Weight Loss) (, , , , , , )

I have been progressing quite well, my work duties have changed with more responsibility so I’ve had 2 days off over the last week as I have been feeling exhausted.

Recently jogging has become a pain as I keep looking at the clock, I felt it was time I upped the pace so I run a little faster and try not to watch the clock. This has helped greatly!

I have been absolutely starving over the last couple of days, this is down to my body needing the energy for the increase in cardio and continuation of weights.  The important thing here is to NOT eat junk food as this will hinder progression, just eat the right foods. I think I’ve had about 3,000 calories today!

My current weight is 17.1 stone, so I am making good progress!
